Response to the DC Video
I went to both Divine Comedy shows tonight (Friday) and I gotta say, the audience during the 7 PM showing wasn't too enthusiastic. Granted, the cast slipped up on their lines a few times, the lighting was off cue, and the sound was out of whack... But really, I think they could have responded better to what was going on. I was scared after the first show because I didn't know if my video just plain stunk or what.
Thankfully the second performance was much better. Everyone - both cast AND crew - seemed to be much more on the same page and ready to put on a show. The audience received it much better than the first one did, so I'm glad that the show I filmed for them was the first one, and that it was the second show that I sat down with a date for.
The video was received very well. I was surprised that some parts weren't laughed at as hard as I'd imagined, and that other parts were laughed at more. All in all I think it did a good job, and people cheered pretty loud at the end, which is a good sign.
I'll try to get that video posted this weekend as well... But man, I'm so behind in three of my classes and I've got to find a way to get caught up before Wednesday!
