BACKGROUND:
After graduating from college I moved out to the DC area, roommate again to my brother Jared and nearby our old roommate Warren. Shortly upon my arrival, an announcement was made that there would be another short film festival in our church community. Busy with moving to a new place and looking for a new job, it was hard to find time to put this together. In fact, we had difficulty even coming up with a concept until a few days before shooting, when we realized that Unibrow, Inc. was training video 1 of 5 -- there was more training to be done!
The ever-elitist pointer-users that we are, we went to work instructing our employees the etiquette of using telescoping instruments. Filming was done in about 3 hours, editing in about the same time.
CRITIQUE:
Bad video quality is due to the last-minute borrowing of a low-end consumer camera. The pacing isn't quite perfect. But you know what? Given the amount of time we were able to put into this, it's not half bad.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
-Jared, Warren, our friend Patricia and I are the only people who appear in this installment of the employee orientation videos.
-The sword that makes two appearances here is Warren's masonic sword, which also is featured in Sower of Discord.
-All but one of the pointers (the regular one) shown belong to Warren. It's taken six years for him to collect all those, some in an active search effort, some by happenstance.
